The best thing that happened in the Penn St. loss

At least we are finding out who the fair weather band wagon fans from last year are, I am glad they are deciding to jump ship. This guy will be here this season, next season & even when we are recruiting Yogi's first born son.
Yes it was a tough game to swallow but I will not give up on my team or its players. You guys will be singing a different tune in the very near future, trust me on this one.
I absolutely hate when someone bad mouths a teenage kid on our/my team. Where were you at when you were 19? Unemployed on your mothers couch, come to think about it some of you aren't even 18 or 19 years old yet and probably couldn't make the girls soccer team at your HS. So leave my players on my team alone.

Indiana basketball is not about 1 season, it is about a lifetime of memories that Hoosiers get to share with their friends & family, a tradition, a legacy, a passion. It is very clear that some of you don't see it that way.

  1. Once again, I'm horrified to read forum posts that are so hateful to IU's coach and its players. It's inexcusable, IMO, to this pretty old alum, to spew hatred toward the university and the teenagers who work hard to represent the school and also to help insure their own futures. I'm beginning to enjoy the games more now that I don't have to face hundred's of wannbe critics practicing snark on a public forum!

    1. Appreciate you reading our posts! Optimism is the best choice for this team right now and we all need to get on board. Ride it out with pride and take it for what it's worth. Is it going to be a fantastic season? Maybe not by our standards but this is a process. I do think, however, if this continues for a couple more years then Crean may be out. I really like him as a person but not entirely convinced he will win championships. We shall see!

  2. Really enjoy reading your columns, and could not agree more. Looking forward to watching this young team grow these next few season with Crean as coach.

  3. We really appreciate the reads. People need to realize he isn't going anywhere right now and we need to try and be optimistic.
